Welcome to History 307: Honors Introduction to Historical Methods. This semester we will prepare for the task of conceiving, researching, and writing a senior honors thesis. At least, that is our practical task. Along the way we will deal with a number of sticky, difficult issues in historiography, methodology, and sourcing of original historical research. This is your chance to peel back the layers of historical practice, and see what it is professional historians actually do. So, let's get our hands dirty.
